Monocoil is a spiral strip of steel that can either be bare steel or steel, coated with PVC or Polyurethane. The most common use is to bundle wire assemblies, limit light and environmental debris exposure and provide resistance to heat, excessive weight, cutting and fiber kinking. In addition, metal braid can be applied over bare or coated steel to offer even greater protection from rugged duty conditions and reduce electrical interference.
Applications include medical light guides, Optical fiber, Controller and sensor wires, security systems, robotics, umbilical cables, wire bundling and marine and construction cables and wires.
